Marketing Assistant - Cheltenham
We have an immediate vacancy in our marketing department in Cheltenham for an assistant to join our existing team of 3 people. The main work of the department consists of 1) evaluating and cataloguing the many new publications related to the languages and literatures of Europe that we receive through the year, and 2) repesenting ESB at conferences and exhibitions throughout the UK. The job involves quite a lot of travelling, so a clean driving licence is essential, and own car is preferred.
Competence to degree standard in one or more of the major European languages is essential, together with a very high standard of written English. The starting salary is £18,000. The company operates a profit-sharing scheme and can arrange, and contribute to, a personal pension scheme.
Representatives (home-based, term time)
We are also looking for two representatives to join our marketing department on a part-time basis. The main work will be to represent ESB at a wide variety of conferences and exhibitions throughout the UK and, after a while, to visit key academic and trade customers. The jobs, covering northern England and Scotland and southern England and Wales respectively, will be home-based, and are for 24-30 full time weeks or equivalent per year. They involve a lot of travelling so a clean driving licence is essential, and own car is preferred. A keen interest in the major European languages and excellent written English are also essential; experience of language learning/teaching at any level would be an advantage.
