This intermediate course for students of Italian comprises of 12 units based on authentic texts also recorded on an audio cassette. Each unit is organised into 2 main sections. In the first part the student learns about the type of text and the grammar or language point they will learn in the unit. This is followed by listening exercises, listening comprehension and speaking exercises, reading comprehension and analysis of a written text and finally written exercises such as summary, comment and elaboration of the text.

The second section focuses on oral communication between students and works through linguistic points raised by the texts. This is a very thorough course, focusing on all the skills needed to learn a language.
