As its title suggests, this volume with its 5 accompanying audio-CDs (offering over 5 hours playing time) provides a thorough guide to developing pronunciation techniques (namely accent, intonation and sounds) in Italian. While its approach is quite in-depth it does also provide a basic introduction to linguistics so it can be used by students with no previous background in this field. A glossary is also provided at the back of the book.
