"Pro e contro" presents a series of topical issues such as Euthanasia, Feminism, Smoking etc. to stimulate lively discussions in the classroom.

Each unit is divided into two sections. The first presents a selection of brief articles related to the given topic which have been taken fron a variety of Italian newspapers and magazines. The second section offers a list of arguments for and against the topic question, which can be used as pointers to guide the course of discussion.

With the addition of further notes and suggestions in the teacher's book (which covers the issues raised in both book 1 & 2) "Pro e Contro" is an ideal stimulus for conversation practice in the Italian language classroom.

Book 1 corresponds to levels A2 - B2 of the "Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning" and book 2 covers levels B1 - C2.
