By adapting Jim Cummins' theory on "Cognitive and Academic Language Proficiency" and by putting into practice "Content and Language Integrated Learning" (a theory supported by the Directorate-General for Education and Culture for the European Commission), "Diapason" uniquely integrates subjects such as history, geography, mathematics, science, geometry etc. within language learning, ensuring that foreign students have a thorough knowledge of Italian to be able to converse with natives in other lessons at school.
